Sorry it’s been awhile folks. I really shouldn’t even be typing now. The doc, after preliminary x-rays, says I’ve at least fractured my left wrist. At the present time, I’m in cast and may be stuck in it for another 7-11 weeks.
Last week, I was biking to my doc’s @ the amazing Fenway Health center, after realizing that I wasn’t scheduled until the next morning. There was a small accident in front of me, between Harvard and Central Squares, the driver apparently wasn’t paying attention and missed the construction site. He/she/ze swerved into the bike lane, slammed on their brakes in front me and I went over my handle bars, landing on my left wrist to break the fall. The driver sped off. The police asked if I needed help, and staying true to blackness/acculturation, I was like “hell no” and rode my bike back home. Now, I was most pissed about losing my Sbux mug and falling down the drain, and my hand wasn’t really all that hurt…so I went to Fenway..realized my appointment was later and then biked back to Medford…until the pain hit and I went to campus health services to get it checked out, after class of course…
I’m really tempted to take this cast off…
